Juan Pablo Chauvin
Welcome! I am an Economist at the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank. My research is in the fields of Urban Economics, Development Economics, Political Economy, and Labor Economics. I study cities and regions in developing countries.
In the past, I have been a Fellow at the Center for International Development at Harvard, an instructor and Teaching Fellow in Economics and Statistics at the Harvard Kennedy School, and have held teaching positions at Ecuadorian universities. I have also been a consultant with the German Technical Cooperation Agency (GiZ), the World Bank, the OECD, and the private sector; advising local, regional, and national governments on economic development and diversification policies in South America, Asia, the MENA region and South-East Europe.
